The Torri Massimiliane towers (or Torricelle -small towers - as called by the Veronese) are four Austrian towers built in Verona in 1837. The four towers, among the last works undertaken by Major General Franz von Scholl, are architectures of absolute formal and construction works. Their geometrical pureness construed an attractive continuity with the natural landscape.
They were built on the hills just outside the city of Verona, and are linked by a trail surrounded by luxuriant vegetation. It is thus a perfect place for romantic walks, especially in spring. Besides offering a splendid view over Verona, the walk is even more exciting at dusk, since one can see the sun setting over the city.
